Tokyo Olympics bronze medallists dream of gold in Paris
Indian hockey captain Sreejesh, javelin star Neeraj and boxer Lovlina say they will settle for nothing less than top finish in 2024 Games
Indian hockey captain PR Sreejesh, javelin star Neeraj Chopra and boxer Lovlina Borgohain, who won bronze medals at the Tokyo Olympics, have said that their ultimate aim is to win gold in the 2024 Paris Games.
Speaking at a felicitation event in Guwahati, Sreejesh said, "We are happy with the bronze medal but now our target is gold. We have to work harder and improve our game."
Chopra, who became the first Indian to win an Olympic medal in athletics, said, "I am very happy with my performance in Tokyo but I know I can do better. I am already preparing for the Paris Olympics and I am confident of winning the gold medal."
Borgohain, who won the bronze medal in the women's welterweight category, said, "I am very proud of my achievement but I am not satisfied. I want to win the gold medal in Paris. I will work hard and give my best."
