Prince Leads The Way as Minnesota Extends Win Streak
Taurean Prince scored 23 points, hitting 5-of-10 3-pointers, and the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 115-104 on Tuesday night for their fifth straight victory.
Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points, Anthony Edwards had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Rudy Gobert finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds for Minnesota.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 28 points, while Jalen Williams scored 25 and Isaiah Joe added 17. Oklahoma City has lost four of its last five games.
The Timberwolves took control of the game in the first half, leading by as many as 18 points.
The Thunder came within five points of the lead late in the third quarter, but Minnesota responded with a 10-0 run to push the lead back to 15.
The Timberwolves are now 21-21 on the season and are tied for the sixth-best record in the Western Conference.
The Thunder are 18-22 and are in 11th place.
Minnesota will host the Heat on Thursday night, while Oklahoma City will host the Celtics on Friday night.
