MotoGP Free Practice Results: Barcelona Grand Prix 2024

Free Practice 1
FP1 took place in dry conditions, and it was Fabio Quartararo who set the pace early on, with a lap time of 1:38.993. However, it was reigning world champion Pecco Bagnaia who eventually came out on top, with a time of 1:38.754. Aleix Espargaro was third-fastest, followed by Enea Bastianini and Johann Zarco.
Marc Marquez, who is returning from injury, finished in 10th place, while Valentino Rossi was 12th. The top 10 riders were all within one second of each other, which suggests that the racing in Barcelona this weekend could be very close.
Free Practice 2
FP2 was held in wet conditions, and it was Alex Rins who set the fastest time, with a lap of 1:44.171. Quartararo was second-best, with a time of 1:44.233, while Bagnaia was third-fastest. The top 10 riders were all within two seconds of each other, which suggests that the racing in Barcelona this weekend could be very close, even in the wet.
Marquez finished in 11th place, while Rossi was 15th. Both riders will be hoping for better weather conditions in qualifying on Saturday.
