Early Life

Janne Puhakka was born in Helsinki, Finland, on March 24, 1975. His parents are Marja-Liisa and Matti Puhakka, both of whom are teachers. Puhakka's father is also a successful author, having published several books on Finnish history and culture. Puhakka has one older brother, Mikko.

Education

Puhakka attended the University of Helsinki, where he studied law. He graduated in 1999 with a degree in law. After graduating from law school, Puhakka worked as a lawyer for several years before entering politics.

Political Career

Puhakka began his political career in 2003, when he was elected to the Helsinki City Council. He served on the City Council for two terms, from 2003 to 2011. In 2011, Puhakka was elected to the Finnish Parliament. He has served in Parliament since then, and is currently the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance.

Puhakka is married to Krista Kiuru, who is also a politician. They have two children, a son and a daughter. Puhakka is a keen runner and skier, and he also enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.
