Carolina goalie Kochetkov could miss Ottawa game with injury
What happened?
Carolina Hurricanes goalie Pyotr Kochetkov is questionable for Thursday's game against the Ottawa Senators due to an upper-body injury, coach Rod Brind'Amour said Wednesday.
Kochetkov left Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders in the second period after allowing two goals on 13 shots.
What does this mean for the Hurricanes?
If Kochetkov is unable to play, Antti Raanta would start in goal for the Hurricanes.
Raanta has a 6-3-2 record with a 2.57 GAA and .913 save percentage this season.
What's the latest?
Brind'Amour said Kochetkov is "day-to-day" and will be re-evaluated Thursday.
The Hurricanes are scheduled to practice at 11 a.m. ET Thursday.
