The USC Trojans and Nebraska Cornhuskers have agreed to a home-and-home football series beginning in 2028, the schools announced on Tuesday.
The Trojans will host the Cornhuskers in Los Angeles on September 16, 2028, and will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska, for the return game on September 15, 2029.
Series marks first meeting between the two schools since 2005
The series will mark the first meeting between the two schools since 2005, when the Trojans defeated the Cornhuskers 28-10 in the Rose Bowl.
The two schools have played seven times overall, with the Trojans holding a 4-3 advantage.
USC continues to schedule high-profile non-conference games
The addition of Nebraska to USC's future non-conference schedule continues a recent trend of scheduling high-profile opponents.
The Trojans have already scheduled home-and-home series with Notre Dame (2024-25), Texas (2025-26), Oklahoma (2027-28), and Michigan (2029-30).
