Browns DT Out for Saints Game, Could Land on I.R.
Cleveland Dealing With Defensive Line Injuries
With the Cleveland Browns set to head to New Orleans this week, they'll do so without one of their key defensive lineman, as tackle Malik Jackson has been ruled out for Sunday's game with a knee injury, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Stefanski also said that the team is considering placing Jackson on injured reserve, which would force him to miss at least three games.
Jackson Has Been a Key Part of Browns Defense
Jackson, who joined the Browns this offseason, has been a key part of the team's defensive line rotation thus far in 2022. He has recorded 1.5 sacks, 11 tackles (seven solo), and five tackles for loss in five games this season. With Jackson out, the Browns will likely turn to a combination of second-year tackle Jordan Elliott and veteran Sheldon Day to fill the void alongside tackles Taven Bryan, Tommy Togiai, and Isaac Rochell.
