On Saturday, the Wisconsin Badgers fought back from a 14-point deficit in the second half to defeat the Purdue Boilermakers 35-24. The win was Wisconsin's second consecutive victory after starting the season 1-3.
Braelon Allen Leads Wisconsin's Comeback
Running back Braelon Allen led the Badgers' comeback, rushing for 127 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries. Quarterback Graham Mertz also played well, completing 15 of 21 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
Turnover Battle Proves Costly For Purdue
The Boilermakers committed four turnovers in the game, including two interceptions and two fumbles. The Badgers converted those turnovers into 14 points. Purdue quarterback Aidan O'Connell threw for 345 yards and three touchdowns but was also intercepted twice.
Wisconsin's Defense Steps Up In Second Half
The Badgers' defense held Purdue to just 10 points in the second half. Defensive end Nick Herbig recorded two sacks, and cornerback Semar Melvin had an interception. The Badgers also forced three turnovers in the second half.

The win is Wisconsin's second consecutive victory after starting the season 1-3. The Badgers will now look to improve to 3-3 when they travel to Michigan State next Saturday. Purdue falls to 1-4 on the season and will look to rebound next week against Nebraska.
