Third-Quarter Deficit Proves Insurmountable for WVU
In a thrilling Big 12 clash at McLane Stadium, the West Virginia Mountaineers narrowly fell to the Baylor Bears by a score of 35-28. Despite a valiant effort and a late comeback attempt, WVU was unable to overcome a 35-21 deficit in the third quarter.
The Mountaineers' offense struggled to find consistency throughout the game, with quarterback JT Daniels completing just 15 of 31 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Running back CJ Donaldson led the rushing attack with 77 yards on 17 carries, but WVU failed to establish a consistent ground game.
