Dutch cruising towards victory despite late Hungary goal

Hungary started the game brightly but Van Dijk quickly killed off any hope they had of taking anything from the game. The Liverpool centre back headed home a Memphis Depay corner inside 13 minutes to give the hosts the lead.

Memphis Depay doubled the Netherlands' lead just before half-time, firing home a penalty after Denzel Dumfries was fouled in the area.

The second half has been a more even affair, with Hungary having their fair share of chances. However, the Netherlands have defended resolutely and look set to secure a comfortable victory.

The Netherlands are now top of Group A4 with six points from two games, while Hungary are bottom with zero points.

The Netherlands will face Wales in their next game on Tuesday, while Hungary will host Italy.
