Steelers Injury Report: Jaylen Warren, Cory Trice Jr. Questionable for Week 11, Nick Herbig Set to Return
Warren, Trice Injured in Week 10 Loss to Saints
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren and cornerback Cory Trice Jr. are both questionable for Sunday's Week 11 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Both players were injured in the Steelers' 20-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 10.
Warren suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of the game and did not return. He has been a key part of the Steelers' offense this season, rushing for 343 yards and two touchdowns on 75 carries.
Trice suffered a foot injury in the second half of the game and also did not return. He has started 10 games for the Steelers this season and has recorded 33 tackles and three interceptions.
The Steelers are already thin at running back, with Najee Harris on injured reserve with a Lisfranc injury. If Warren is unable to play, Benny Snell Jr. and Anthony McFarland Jr. would be the only healthy running backs on the roster.
The Steelers are also thin at cornerback, with Ahkello Witherspoon on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. If Trice is unable to play, Cameron Sutton and Levi Wallace would be the only healthy cornerbacks on the roster.
Herbig Set to Return from Injured Reserve
Outside linebacker Nick Herbig is set to return from injured reserve this week. Herbig suffered a hamstring injury in the Steelers' Week 4 win over the New York Jets and has missed the last five games.
Herbig has been a key part of the Steelers' pass rush this season, recording three sacks and two forced fumbles in four games. His return will be a boost to the Steelers' defense, which has struggled to generate pressure on the quarterback in recent weeks.
The Steelers are 2-7 this season and are in last place in the AFC North. They will need to win their remaining seven games to have any chance of making the playoffs.
