Saints rule out 2 players, 6 more questionable vs. Browns on final injury report
New Orleans Saints ruled out two players and listed six more as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
The Saints ruled out wide receiver Jarvis Landry (ankle) and defensive end Marcus Davenport (calf) for the game. Landry injured his ankle in the Saints‘ Week 1 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and did not practice this week. Davenport suffered a calf injury in practice this week and is also out for the game.
The Saints listed six other players as questionable for the game:
- Wide receiver Michael Thomas (hamstring)
- Tight end Adam Trautman (ankle)
- Guard Andrus Peat (knee)
- Center Erik McCoy (calf)
- Defensive tackle Shy Tuttle (ankle)
- Linebacker Pete Werner (groin)
Thomas, who missed the Saints’ Week 1 game with a hamstring injury, practiced in a limited capacity this week. Trautman, Peat, McCoy, Tuttle, and Werner all practiced fully on Friday.
The Saints will be hoping to have as many of their injured players as possible back for Sunday’s game against the Browns. The Browns are coming off a 26-24 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 and will be looking to improve to 2-0 on the season.
