Dubai to Bishkek flight diverted to Tashkent

A plane flying from Dubai to Bishkek was forced to land in Tashkent on Tuesday after a passenger became ill. The Uzbekistan Airways flight HY 614 took off from Dubai at 10:30am local time and was due to land in Bishkek at 1:30pm local time.

However, the flight was diverted to Tashkent after a passenger on board became ill. The passenger was taken to hospital in Tashkent for treatment.

The remaining passengers were taken to a hotel in Tashkent and were due to continue their journey to Bishkek on a later flight.

Reason for the diversion not yet known

The reason for the passenger's illness is not yet known. Uzbekistan Airways is investigating the incident.

The airline has apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
