Osimhen to stay at Napoli in January
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen will not be moving to Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.
The Blues have been linked with a move for the Nigeria international in recent weeks, but it is now claimed that Napoli are not prepared to sell their star player mid-season.
Osimhen has been in excellent form for Napoli this season, scoring 10 goals in 14 Serie A appearances.
He has also netted four times in the Champions League, helping Napoli to reach the last 16 of the competition.
Chelsea are in need of a new striker after Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter Milan on loan in the summer.
However, it seems that Osimhen will not be the man to fill that void in January.
The 24-year-old is under contract at Napoli until 2025, and it is believed that the Serie A club would demand a fee of around €100 million to sell him.
Chelsea are unlikely to be willing to pay that much for a player who has only one full season of experience in one of Europe's top five leagues.
As a result, it seems that Osimhen will be staying at Napoli for the foreseeable future.
