Oregon Football Hopefuls Jordan James, Jordan Burch Suit Up for Ducks Hype Train in Madison
Former Top Recruits Gearing Up for Comeback Season
EUGENE, Ore. - Running back Jordan James and defensive end Jordan Burch, former top recruits for the University of Oregon football team, are expected to play significant roles for the No. 1 Ducks as they head to Madison, Wisconsin for their season opener against the Wisconsin Badgers.
James Battling Back from Injury
James, a five-star recruit out of Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, California, missed most of the 2021 season due to a foot injury. However, he has since recovered and is poised to make a major impact for the Ducks this year.
James is a versatile back who can run between the tackles, catch passes out of the backfield, and return kicks. He is expected to share the workload with returning starter Travis Dye in what should be the nation's most potent backfield.
Burch Looking to Make Noise on Defensive Line
Burch, a five-star recruit out of Hammond School in Columbia, South Carolina, is entering his third season with the Ducks. He played in all 14 games last year, starting three, and finished with 16 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Burch is a physically gifted pass rusher with excellent size, speed, and athleticism. He is expected to start at one of the defensive end positions this year and could be a force on the Ducks' defense.
Oregon Primed for Success with James and Burch
With James and Burch healthy and ready to contribute, the Ducks are considered one of the favorites to win the national championship this year. They have a wealth of talent on both sides of the ball and should be a tough matchup for any opponent.
The Ducks will open their season against the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, September 3rd at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. The game will be televised on FOX at 11:00 AM PT.
