Quinn led the Storm to a championship title in 2020
Noelle Quinn, who has served as an assistant coach for the Seattle Storm for the past four seasons, has announced her departure from the team. Quinn, a former Storm player, helped lead the team to a championship title in 2020.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to have coached with the Seattle Storm,” Quinn said in a statement. “I have learned so much from Coach [Dan] Hughes and the rest of the staff, and I am proud of what we have accomplished together. I wish the team all the best in the future.”
Quinn played for the Storm from 2007 to 2010, and she was a key member of the team’s 2010 championship team. After retiring from playing, she joined the Storm’s coaching staff in 2019. She was promoted to assistant coach in 2021.
The Storm have not yet announced who will replace Quinn on the coaching staff. The team is expected to begin its search for a new assistant coach immediately.
Quinn's Impact on the Storm
Quinn was a valuable asset to the Storm both as a player and a coach. She was a versatile player who could play multiple positions, and she was known for her leadership on and off the court.
As a coach, Quinn was instrumental in the development of several young players, including Breanna Stewart and Jewell Loyd. She was also a key member of the coaching staff that helped the Storm win the championship in 2020.
Quinn’s departure is a significant loss for the Storm, but she leaves behind a legacy of success. She is a respected coach and a role model for young players, and she will be missed by the Storm organization and its fans.
What's Next for Quinn?
Quinn has not announced her plans for the future, but she is expected to remain in the coaching ranks. She is a talented coach with a bright future, and she is sure to be successful wherever she goes.
The Storm will begin their 2023 season on May 19th against the Las Vegas Aces. The team is looking to rebound from a disappointing 2022 season, and they will be counting on Quinn’s replacement to help them achieve their goals.
