Denmark's Celcelia Viktoria Kirkegaard Crowned Miss Universe 2024
Celcelia Viktoria Kirkegaard of Denmark was crowned Miss Universe 2024 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in Louisiana, United States, on Saturday, January 14, 2024.
Kirkegaard, 25, is a fashion model and environmental activist. She is the first woman from Denmark to win the Miss Universe title.
The first runner-up was Amanda Dudamel of Venezuela, and the second runner-up was Andreína Martínez of the Dominican Republic.
India's Rhea Singha Fails to Place in Top 12
India's representative, Rhea Singha, failed to place in the top 12 at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
Singha, 21, is a model and actress from Mumbai.
This is the first time in three years that an Indian contestant has failed to place in the top 12 at the Miss Universe pageant.
Other Highlights of the Pageant
The Miss Universe 2024 pageant was hosted by Jack Wagner, a television host and actor, and Olivia Culpo, the winner of Miss Universe 2012.
The pageant featured a panel of judges that included actress Demi-Leigh Tebow, model and entrepreneur Tyra Banks, and fashion designer Marc Jacobs.
The pageant was broadcast live in over 160 countries and territories around the world.
