Jayhawks nab 5-star hoops recruit Bryson Tiller
Even KU's coaches surprised by Tiller's commitment to Kansas
5-star recruit Bryson Tiller from Minneapolis selected the Jayhawks over Kentucky and North Carolina
Bryson Tiller, the five-star shooting guard from Minneapolis, committed to Kansas on Friday. He picked the Jayhawks over Kentucky and North Carolina.
Tiller is the highest-rated recruit to commit to Kansas since Andrew Wiggins in 2013. He's ranked No. 13 overall in the 2024 class and is considered one of the best shooters in the country.
During his junior season at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas, Tiller averaged 26.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists. He shot 48 percent from the floor and 40 percent from 3-point range.
Tiller's commitment is a major coup for Kansas coach Bill Self. The Jayhawks have been struggling to recruit at a high level in recent years. Tiller is the Jayhawks' first five-star recruit since 2019.
