Jaxon Kohler Replaces Xavier Booker in MSU Basketball Starting Lineup
Kohler Earns Starting Role After Strong Performance in Exhibition Games
Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo has announced that Jaxon Kohler will replace Xavier Booker in the starting lineup for the Spartans' season opener against Northern Arizona on Monday night.
Kohler, a 6-foot-9 forward, has impressed Izzo with his play in the team's two exhibition games, averaging 12 points and 8 rebounds while shooting 50% from the field.
Booker Out Indefinitely with Broken Hand
Booker, a 6-foot-10 center, broke his hand in practice last week and is expected to miss the next several weeks.
Kohler is expected to start at center alongside forwards Malik Hall and Joey Hauser, with A.J. Hoggard and Tyson Walker in the backcourt.
