Bulldogs to Face Ohio State Semifinal

Georgia Bulldogs football has reached the College Football Playoff (CFP) after defeating the LSU Tigers in the SEC Championship Game, 50-30. The Bulldogs will face the Ohio State Buckeyes in the CFP semifinal at the Peach Bowl on December 31st. The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 13-0 record and were ranked No. 1 in the CFP rankings. They defeated the No. 4-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in the CFP semifinal at the Peach Bowl, 24-21. The Bulldogs will be making their third appearance in the CFP. They lost to Alabama in the CFP championship game in 2017 and 2021. The Bulldogs are led by quarterback Stetson Bennett IV, who has thrown for 3,425 yards and 27 touchdowns this season. Running back Kenny McIntosh has rushed for 1,402 yards and 17 touchdowns. Wide receiver Ladd McConkey has caught 52 passes for 920 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Bulldogs defense is led by linebacker Nolan Smith, who has 57 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks this season. Defensive tackle Jalen Carter has 32 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks. The Bulldogs are a heavy favorite to defeat the Buckeyes in the CFP semifinal. The Buckeyes are ranked No. 4 in the CFP rankings and have a 11-1 record this season. The CFP championship game will be played on January 9th at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
