FC Arsenal Tula and FC Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk announced the large-scale reconstruction of the stadium. The Arsenal Stadium, which is the home arena of FC Arsenal Tula, will be reconstructed by 2023.
The stadium will be equipped with a modern football field, a new grandstand, and other necessary infrastructure. The capacity of the stadium will be increased to 23,000 seats.
The reconstruction of the stadium will be carried out in several stages. The first stage will be completed by the beginning of the 2023/24 season. At this stage, the football field and the new grandstand will be built.
The second stage of the reconstruction will be completed by the end of 2024. At this stage, the remaining infrastructure of the stadium will be built, including the press center, the locker rooms, and the VIP-boxes.
The total cost of the stadium reconstruction is estimated at 1.5 billion rubles. The funds will be allocated from the federal and regional budgets, as well as from the funds of FC Arsenal Tula.
After the reconstruction, the Arsenal Stadium will become one of the most modern football stadiums in Russia. It will meet all the requirements of UEFA and FIFA, and will be able to host international matches.
