The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) has issued a warning about a dangerous weather phenomenon expected to hit the Ryazan Region on Thursday, August 10. According to EMERCOM, a storm front is approaching the region from the west and is expected to bring with it heavy rain, hail, and strong winds.
The storm front is expected to enter the Ryazan Region in the early hours of Thursday morning and will continue to rage for about 24 hours. During this time, residents can expect heavy rainfall, with some areas receiving up to 50 mm of rain. Hail is also possible, with hailstones up to 2 cm in diameter. Strong winds, with gusts of up to 25 m/s, are also expected.
EMERCOM has urged residents to take precautions to stay safe during the storm. People should stay indoors if possible, and if they must go outside, they should wear sturdy shoes and clothing and avoid open areas.
