Gunners Drop Points In Pre-season Friendly

Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Russian Premier League side Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

The Gunners took the lead in the first half through Eddie Nketiah, but Neftekhimik equalized in the 89th minute through a header from Stanislav Krapukhin.

Lackluster Performance From Arsenal

Arsenal struggled to create clear-cut chances throughout the match and were largely outplayed by Neftekhimik in the second half.

The result will be a concern for manager Mikel Arteta, who is looking to build on last season's fifth-place finish in the Premier League.

Nketiah Continues To Impress

Despite the disappointing result, Nketiah's performance was a positive for Arsenal.

The 23-year-old striker scored his second goal in pre-season and showed good movement and finishing throughout the match.

Tough Pre-season Test

The draw against Neftekhimik was Arsenal's second pre-season match.

They previously beat Ipswich Town 5-1 and will now face Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus in the coming weeks.
