Albania Hit by Injuries Ahead of Nations League Games
Thiago Dolla injured as Albania lose four key players
Thiago Dolla has become the fourth Albania player to be ruled out of their upcoming Nations League matches through injury, the Albanian Football Association (FSHF) has confirmed.
Albania Hit by Pre-Nations League Injuries
The 24-year-old midfielder picked up a thigh injury in training on Monday, and will now miss Albania's fixtures against Iceland on Saturday and Israel on Tuesday.
Dolla joins goalkeeper Etrit Berisha, defender Marash Kumbulla and forward Armando Broja on the sidelines.
Berisha has a knee problem, while Kumbulla is struggling with a muscle injury. Broja, meanwhile, is recovering from an ankle injury.
The absences of these key players are a blow to Albania, who are looking to build on their impressive start to the Nations League campaign.
After winning their opening match against Israel, Albania currently sit top of Group 2, Level B.
However, they will need to be at their best to maintain their position, especially with so many key players missing.
